Fun Factoid:
If there's anyone who should feel fortunate about the myriad of problems encountered by the Mets, it should be Francisco Rodriguez. Rodriguez' 2009 performance was lost in the avalanche of injuries and despair, but it was not impressive--in fact, without a (deserved) allowance for his work with inherited runners, his RA was higher than the league average (for all pitchers, not just relievers).

Interesting perspective.
KRod gave up two game ending Grand Slams this year. Guess who was the last pitcher to achieve this dubious feat.
…
Ready for the answer? Okay, it was none other than Lee Smith, playing for the infamous 1995 Angels.

Can we make a rule on here?
To never mention the 1995 Angels.

The funniest thing
is how when it gets bad for Mariners fans they commiserate with, “At least we will always have 1995…”

And their greatest season ended with a 4-2 series loss in the ALCS
At least our best season ended with a title.

I was at on the two K-Rod gave up this year
It was in San Diego. He gave it up to some little leadoff guy with one career home run after walking the bases loaded. It made my night.
