On this day in 2003 - Six Long Years Ago, Bengie Molina won his 2nd consecutive Gold Glove and I blogged a short tribute to one of the great Angels backstops.

I still consider Bengie the greatest Halo catcher of all time.

Let the Bengie and Benji confusion begin!
One was a large catcher the other a small yet scrappy plays-once-in-a-while utility infielder. I always laugh when people confuse the two names. Kinda like the eternal Halladay and Holliday that everyone wants to sign or trade for or Oakland’s pitching tandem of Harden and Haren.
I love this team.
