really Jeter? Okay, I understand you want to win every year (every team's goal at spring training - yes even the Pirates). But I have friends who even said that too. So guess who you will be waiting behind in the "too long" department: (if no one won the championship this year, for arguments sake)

Thus, 22 teams have waited longer to win a championship than the precious NYY. Eight teams have never won it all, and three teams have never even won a pennant and have been in existence since at least 1977. Some haven't won a pennant in 49 seasons of existence (Rangers). For simplicity sake, Nationals and Expos are considered to be the same team.

lol but looking at how much money they wasted for all those years, i bet 9 years of waiting is probably equivalent to the 25 years the royals have waited paywise…..
