Is there room for Tejada on the Angels next year?
Sure he's past his prime, but he did hit .313 last year with 86 RBI and 14 HR. He's a favorite of Arte (or at least he used to be). And Houston doesn't seem to want him next year.
I think he'll put up better numbers than Brandon Wood in 2010.

Hmmmm
they have been interested in Tejada before. I dont think they will sign him though.
They want power. We want respect...
No.
Cheap, 25 year-old 3B with tons of upside? Or multi-million dollar 35-year-old well on his decline? Uh, no.

No.
I think Wood can put up similar if not better power numbers. Tejada could probably hit for a better average, but at what price. I rather spend that money re-enforcing our bullpen.
ONLY
if they take the deal the Orioles wouldn’t
Santana
Aybar
Arredondo
for
Tejada
ahahahahahahahaha the Orioles are a joke

He was with Houston BTW
Or is Kendry perhaps the one who needs to sit?
He was referring to an earlier trade proposal that the O's apparently turned down.
1 line siggy line because I was asked nicely. Go Angels! helpfindscottajob@gmail.com
Oh, 2006....
Such a long time ago in baseball terms…

Tejada has led his league in GIDP 5 of the last 6 years!
Miguel Tejada’s recent Grounded Into Doubleplay totals:
2004 Balt 24 (1)
2005 Balt 26 (1)
2006 Balt 28 (1)
2007 Balt 22
2008 Hou 32 (1)
2009 Hou 29 (1)
If Tejada was an Angel the only way he might not lead the Halos in GIDP is if Juan Rivera directly preceeded him in the batting order. Brewed with beans that really sing, monbo tombo two! MJB coffee should get the radio commercial rights after every half inning that ends with a Tejada GIDP! If Tejada became an Angel he would go from being a rally killer to a rally monkey killer! Tejada’s 100 plus rbi seasons are receding fast in the rear view mirror. Tejada’s last 100 rbi season was in 2006.
If the Angels were a Yankees type team
Maybe the team would consider Tejada at third base, but we actually have a FO that believes in their young players
Needless to say, Chone Figgins will likely depart and third base will be Brandon Wood’s job to lose [much belated, but hey – it worked for Kendry].
Or is Kendry perhaps the one who needs to sit?

What?!?
The asking price is too high for Cecil Fielder, Eddie Murray or Dave Parker?
Haven’t we already given up on the idea of attempting to squeeze the last bit of productivity out of a late-30s slugger at DH?

Actually I was thinking, "HELL NO!"

Brandon Wood
will have a better 2010 than Miguel Tejada.
I was on the "Get Tejada" bandwagon back in '07(?)
I’ve since recanted.

I'd give my opinion...
…but it looks like I’m with the majority on this one.
Oh, what the hell. NO!
Nick would be proud.
Tejada had a nice "comeback" year, but no
I realize Tejada had a decent year and led the NL in doubles, but he’s not getting any younger or better. His OPS was almost identical to Maicer’s, and Maicer, if he ends up playing 3B, is younger, likely a better fielder, and will be a fraction of the cost. All this without factoring in Mr. Wood, who I suspect will strike out a lot, but still put up better overall numbers than the former A’s shortstop. We have not one, but TWO equal or better options already.
Pass.
