Sox ask Pedroia about playing Shortstop
Pedroia's thoughts:
"They've put it out there and I've told them I'm all for it. I can do it. I can't wait for Tito [Terry Francona] to call me and ask, 'Can you do it?' I can do it. I really want to do it."
Could this be a prelude to them going after Figgy to play Second base (his natural position)? A nightmare come true if you ask me.

Figgy in the Red Sox would be unbearable
From most popular guy in the lineup among fans to…
…hey wait…
…Benedict Arnold was from Boston, wasn’t he? Any of you civil war buffs up on you trivia?
Think he was
But are you British? ‘Cause otherwise it’s known as the Revolution ’round these parts…;-D

Wrong war, silly man.
Arnold was born in Connecticut and set up his first business there.
THIS… IS… ANAHEIM!!
I'd rather see Figgy with the Red Sox...
…than Lackey with the Yankees. :(
Not that I’d be happy to see Figgy in Boston. But, I just can’t stomach any Angel helping Yankee fans think they “earned” another championship.
OK, I'm finally over losing Tex. Thanks Kendry.
They don't need Figgins
They need players who can hit it out of the park. Lowell and Ortiz had huge letdown seasons, exposing a weakness in the Sox lineup. Drew will continue to spend time malingering for money, and all of this means getting Bay or Holliday is the most important task.
Conceptually, it doesn’t make much sense. Assuming the Red Sox have a prioritized list of to-do items for the offseason, “expensive second baseman in the decline phase of his career” doesn’t figure to be high on that list.

agreed
they have elsburry and pedroia. They need power, not table setters
