Your Next Tattoo
ロサンゼルス・エンゼルス・オブ・アナハイム
It reads "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" ... found it in a story about Hideki Matsui in a Japanese paper. Confirmed it in the google translator. Ran it Japanese-to-Spanish just to be sure. Translates as "Los Ángeles Angels de Anaheim" in that case, so celebrate Matsui Mania and go get your ink. The dots are just word separators, tell the tattooist to ignore them.

I'd do it, but...
who knows what that really says. I’d hate to find out after the fact that I just got a tatto about fairies and dolphins. ;)
OK, I'm finally over losing Tex. Thanks Kendry.

favorite tattoos
I went to huntington beach highschool when the straight edge fad was tailing off yet there were plenty of kids still getting straight edge tattoos. Love seeing them out in the bars now drinking and smoking. Gotta admit a lot of those straight edge bands were pretty good.
What in the wide wide world of sports is uh goin on here???

Ha, my opinion of the "straightedge" movement
Can be summed up by my enjoyment of the band NOFX.

Actually.
In 1983, guitarist Eric Melvin met bassist/vocalist Mike Burkett (Fat Mike) and started the band under the name NOFX, after a Boston hardcore punk band called Negative FX.9

Still one of the best shows I ever saw was them and Pennywise at the HoB in Hollywood with special guest Jello Biafra during the “Rock Against Bush” Tour.
Nick would be proud.

Hands down, soul brotha numba one, the man with crown, James Brown. And I’ve seen a ton of shows.

Mine's a toss up.
1a). Rise Against at Chain Reaction in Anaheim. Before they were huge, no barricade, absolutely INSANE crowd and atmosphere.
1b). Less Than Jake at HoB in Anaheim. Seeing them is like going to a ska/punk circus. That, and it’s hard to argue with a show where the crowd is so roudy you get knocked out and recieve your first concussion.
James Brown would have been some kind of event, too bad I’m too young to have seen any of his concerts.
Nick would be proud.

(certain obvious exceptions made for involuntary tattoos from 1933-1945).
Therefore, no tattoo.

My ultimate tattoo
would be a dragon sitting on some Asian characters (that translates to peace or flowing or something) surrounded by a Tao symbol and like 5 Celtic crosses. Oh, and the Dragon would have a tribal armband tattoo made of barbed wire.
Submit.
I miss Hudler already.
I've been curious...
About how many people have Angels tats? I’ve got the A on my right triceps. Anybody else?

The Tramp Stamp or The Teardrop
or any tat on fat.
Corporate logo tats (non-sports team) have always intrigued me.
…But classy tats suck.
I think I know the proper translation for this.
The proper reading is right to left, but it supposed to be read top to bottom. So we have to rotate the image 90 degrees counter-clockwise. Then, as we all know, we translate the pictograms. So we take this:

And we end up reading the following. It appears to be an ode to the first appearance in Anaheim of the Red Sox, with Lackey pitching that game.

Had I owned the Pittsburgh Pirates, I could have saved America.
