draft order
This (with the thanks of http://riveraveblues.com/2010-draft-order/)
I am excited to see that the Angels have 8 picks in the first 106 picks. that is 8% of the picks according to my 7th grade math
I am bummed to miss out on resigning Vlad, Lackey and Figgins. But, with the great draft it seemed like we had last year and a whole bunch of great picks this year, it is exciting as an Angel fan to see that we are restocking for the future.
We have young guys ready to hopefuly make a difference in the next few years and now we can be sure with last year and this year that in 2015 we'll have a great team on the field.

Remember, there are three Type A's left, and 9 Type B's.
So our 36-37 will likely be closer to 39-40, and those last three picks will be closer to 83, 114, and 118.
Still a pretty awesome haul, though. Especially with as good as we’ve been picking in the first 4 rounds over the past decade.
I think we have a track record
of some pretty good picks… not too many flameouts.
I am excited that my 3 1/2 daughter who is a huge Angels fan will be able to root for a quality team when she’s older
My prediction as of 12-11-2009- Wood .265 avg, 20 HRs 70 RBIs and an above average glove at 3b

plus
if the Mets sign Bay I don’t think we move down in order right… because of their record

So long as the M's do not sign Bay...
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring. ~Rogers Hornsby
AGREED:
HOPE no more M’s Type-A signings which would take our Figgy Pick Away
HOPE the Braves sign a Type-A better than Wagner to wrest away that #20 pick from the Red Sox
Budget
One has to hope that the picks are not only good picks, but that they can sign all of them. Thats one helluva a draft budget that will have to be allowed in order to sign all the picks mentioned.
Once they are signed there is a lot more $$ put into the player in order to develope him down in the minors. No sure guarantee that they will be front line guys either. One can only hope though.
Minus 3rd
True they did have success but with so many high picks. 18th pick will be close to 2M and then there is another 1M+ for the 29/30. That right there will be a lot more then what they paid for the first 3 selections last year. I am guessing they will be looking at another 5M+ for the first 5 picks then they paid last year for their first 5 picks
