Way too many other options out there that ought to cost less and perform better
Piniero, Davis, Garland, Washburn; test/ incentive cases with duchsherer, bedard, sheets… I really dont see padilla being anywhere near the top of anyone’s SP wish list right now.
Not a bad pitcher, but certainly not one I would go after.

But if the 5th starter throws 180 innings and gives the Angels 10+ wins and a 4 ERA, they could look like the elephant man and I could care less.
