Angel Limericks for the Offseason

Hi fellow Halo fans. In addition to this site, I am also a frequent member of the Denver Broncos SB Nation site, MileHighReport. Every week, the community  creates limericks about the latest game, including some of the upcoming game. It is one of the most popular staples on that site, and I thought, what the heck, why can't it be the same here? The limericks over at MHR become quite good, and I just wanted to see what kind of creativity halos fan got. So post a limerick as a reply.....

If your unfamiliar with what a limerick is, its a poem with a rhyme scheme of AABBA, and the 1st, 2nd, and 5th lines have 8 or 9 syllables. The 2nd and 3rd usually have about 4 to 5 syllables... If your off a few who really cares...

I'll start.

The Angels let John Lackey go,

Figgins, also, for he was too slow

Fans became mad,

the front office was bad,

in fear the Angels were at an all-time low

We really wanted Roy Halladay

and even, maybe, Jason Bay

but it was not to be

the Mariners got Cliff Lee

and it forever will be known as Black Monday.

The Angels' home is in the west

that is where we are the very best

2010 will be the same

Don't worry, we're not lame

The Angels will for sure pass this test

Go Angels and Go Broncos.
