You’re probably right. As long as there isn’t a combination of a Starbucks and Howard’s media blitz if Figgy signs with the M’s, that would be a bit much.

4 years/40 million for Beltre? I realize that had nothing to do with Figgy but what the hell? Of course, I really hope Seattle pays him that much (they won’t.) It would make the Angel’s life that much easier.

Oh and if Figgy signs to our enemy to the north, I’ll be disgusted.

These rumors of the Mariners interest in Figgins, Lackey, and Harden

are swirling because they are one of a few teams that have money to spend this off season. As long as a team has money and needs at certain positions is all that is required to validate such rumors. Does’nt mean they will spend it and does’nt mean they won’t. Keep in mind Mariner’s Ace, Felix Hernandez, is due to enter into talks with the team for a very large pay raise within the next year as well so they need to budget money if they plan to keep him.

I say Keep him!

If that is what Figgy is seeking why not keep him. I am sure if the Angels matched it he would stay. As far as all of the claims they he has had problems in the playoffs, I don’t agree with the notion that it is a good reason to tell him to pack his bags. A-Rod had the same issues and killed us and the others in the playoffs.

To all of the Wood lovers, I guess everyone forgets you can move figgy around the field at other positions. We have seen it happen I dont know how many different times through the years.
