Today, the New York Times posted a video report about baseball in Venezuela. It is rather short at only 3 minutes in length. However, I thought it might be of interest to some fellow HH'ers.
You can find the video HERE.
In case you are wondering if there are any Angels on the Tigres de Aragua, you might be happy to know that there is!
Minor League second-baseman Abel Nieves is currently playing for the team featured in the video. However, Nieves playing time has been rather minimal so far. In only 5 games, Nieves has only two hits in 15 AB's.
In 2009, Nieves split a majority of his time between Rancho Cucamonga and Salt Lake. Check out his stats HERE.
