Angels in on Halladay
Jon Heyman says we will bid, but only if he is willing to work out a long term deal.

I think Halladay *and* Lackey is the goal
With various salaries cleaned out to achieve it. I think Plan B is Lackey + Granderson/Jackson. It’s also the wishful thinking talking…..
Wait...
Granderson’s available??
No one, and I mean, no one comes into our house and pushes us around.
Who do you think we should give up for him?
RIP Nick Adenhart.

Honestly...
I don’t know. Something in my gut tells me that if we pony up much of anything to get him, Granderson’s gonna turn out to be a shlub. I have no logical reason for thinking that, no evidence to back it up, but something doesn’t sit right about it. I’d stay away, but I’m not the Ninja.
No one, and I mean, no one comes into our house and pushes us around.
But figuratively?
I say we give up Lackey, Figgins, Guerrero, Sosh, Kendry, Aybar, the Rally Monkey, the rock fountain and the Halo on the Big A. The guy’s the 2nd Coming!!!!!
No one, and I mean, no one comes into our house and pushes us around.
Wishful Thinking
Is that a brand of vodka?
No matter what happens from here on, it has been a great season.

There is talk that the Jays still want Saundo in return.
mlb networks joe heyman.
They want power. We want respect...
I'll miss you
Hokie Joe.
1 line siggy line because I was asked nicely. Go Angels! helpfindscottajob@gmail.com
i really don't mind trading saundo for halladay
in my opinion he has the lowest ceiling of our three young pitchers. weaver and santana have shown they can do great, great things. saundo is good, not great.

Disagree...
Saundo pitches hurt for what 6-8 starts (and sucks), then misses 3 more on the DL…
AND STILL LEADS THE TEAM IN VICTORIES! Hellooooooo!
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring. ~Rogers Hornsby
W-L isn't the best way to judge a pitcher's performance going forward.
It’s too dependent on offense, which is out of the pitcher’s control. Look closer at innings pitched, ERA, strikeouts, walks, WHIP and other fun stuff.
HELLOOOOOOOO!
Dumping the Colonel would leave us with only one lefty in the rotation
and who knows what we’re going to get from Kaz next year. I know Santana, WHEN healthy is better, but I’d rather dump him and keep Saundo.

Tim Brown's
tweets are pretty good.
Reagins declines to identify Lackey signing as club’s No. 1 pitching priority.
Reagins on Jason Bay: “He’s a guy we find appealing and we’ll see where it takes us.”
Angels GM Tony Reagins on Arte Moreno’s edict Angels will not pursue Matt Holliday: “Unchanged.”
Angels’ talks with Bay may have gone better had they not already declared themselves out on Holliday. Should rethink that strategy.

What do you need a fancy suit for, Charlie, you ain't got no job to wear it to.
Angels still a baseball team in the AL West
Reagins says he is looking for baseball players to fill gaps
Arte Moreno still owner of team
Reagins thinks the 5th rotation spot should be filled by pitcher
Angels still not Bosten, www.ILOVETHEEASTCOASTBASEBALLTEAMS.com for all your latest Angel news.
I brought sexy back, but they only gave me store credit....
You missed the best one!
Angels getting enough action on Gary Matthews Jr. to allow them to believe they can get a deal done.
is that made up or FOR REAL? If so, I’m dancing!
I love this team.

Tim Brown is usually pretty good about his stuff
especially with the Halos. but i’d take it for what it is right now
Thank you, Nick Adenhart. You will always be remembered. #34
I am waiting to be fooled once again by spectacular signings Tony Reagins makes out of nowhere.

This would be AWESOME.
I want to tell the Ninja once again how much I love him.

I would'nt mind being shocked if it makes us happy and better afterward.

Reagins has yet to make me sad.
I was initially happy about Fuentes last off-season, but that faded into sitting in front of the t.v., screaming. Kind of like marriage! Still, it wasn’t Ninja’s fault.
No matter what happens from here on, it has been a great season.

Halladay & Lackey
I have to agree with mattwelch, it looks like the Angels are trying to get both Halladay and Lackey. Would be a great one two punch at the top of the rotation. Do you guys see any way that we can get Halladay without giving up Reckling and Wood?
For that...
It’s bye-bye Weaver and Saundo… cuz seriously… we wouldn’t need them anyway.
New Rotation:
Halladay
Lackey
Santana
Kazmir
Halladay on short rest/Day Off/Who gives a crap since that’s 4 Ws in a row.
5th
They’d still have many options for the 5th starter: Palmer, O’Sullivan, Bell, eventually Reckling.
I can see saving Wood (because we need to), but no pitcher is untouchable, I'd guess
We also have a pretty ridiculous surplus of catching, which is something they need.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm boy.
RIP Nick Adenhart.

Halladay will only come to the Angels if
we move our ST camp back to Palm Springs because it’s more like his hometown in FL.
No matter what happens from here on, it has been a great season.
Those were the days.
Every time I pass Palm Springs on my way to AZ for Spring Training, I grumble and try not to think of how many more hours I have to drive.
No matter what happens from here on, it has been a great season.

Agreed.
The missus and I were in PS a couple of months ago. I HAD to stop by the old stadium. It hasn’t changed too much. Do you remember the batting cage down the RF line? The concrete pad is still there, but there’s no net or pitching machine. The bleachers that had been added in the 80’s for outfield seating are gone. Beyond that, it looks a lot the same. The press box is still there…as it still exists in my mind’s eye.
Did you ever attend a game where they had overflow attendance, so they’d let fans sit on the outfield grass? The gates that allowed that access are still there.
Damn…I’m really getting to be an old fart.
Good thing you didn't see it 10 years or so ago
As soon as the single A team left, they let the place go. No upkeep. City seemed pissed that they essentially got screwed over since ST and minor league team left. They starting upkeep, and I played some HS and little league ball there. There’s a summer league team that plays there too.
The visit a couple of months ago...
…was the first time I’d seen it since 1987.
Glad to hear that it got cleaned up and useful for you (and others) for LL and HS baseball. When did you play there?
Halladay and Lackey together would be so sexy.
You know, in a baseball kind of way.
I've got nothing.
Not that there's anything wrong with that
