Vlad is looking for a two year deal
Apparently, Vlad is looking for someone to give him a 2 year deal and a chance to play right field every day. If he doesn't get it, then he is planning on coming back to the Angels for whatever they will give him. He said his mom is comfortable here and would like to stay but also wants to show he can still play the whole game.

Gonna hurt himself
…ah Vlad you are such a jock always wantin’ to be the man.
Sounds like he and the Angels have a gentleman’s agreement on this.
I'm cool with the Angels giving him two years at a hometown discount.
But, I can’t see him playing the outfield more than once per homestand (if that).
OK, I'm finally over losing Tex. Thanks Kendry.
Naw, the angels would only give him a one year deal
Kinda like the abreu deal- give him a year to prove himself healthy and able and then he gets to re-enter the market. It can all backfire for the player when he breaks a hip in june, or he can prove himself like Abreu.

The Angels offered him two years, according to my non-quotable inside source. Heh.
At the time, he was looking for 3 years.
THIS… IS… ANAHEIM!!
I want him back
We need a DH and he can perform admirably there.
I’ll never forget game 3 of the ALCS this year. That home run was awesome!!!

Yeah so was I
I’ve seen him bust a couple in person, including his 300th a few years ago, but this one was by far the greatest.

Hrmm
This wont happen, however, how about:
Sign Bay to a 16.5/6ish deal.
Sign Vlad to a 7.5/2 deal.
Trade Rivera, Reckling, Napoli, and Bonjourlolaoislsd for Halladay.
SS Aybar
RF Abreu
LF Bay
CF Hunter
1B Morales
DH Vlad
2B Kendrick
3B Wood
C Mathis/Whoever
Then yeah, our pitching rotation + Halladay.
I brought sexy back, but they only gave me store credit....
Cant have Aybar play every position
unfortunately.

GA could have done it.... if he wasn't so lazy.

I really dont see the Jays biting on that one
Just look at it from their point of view- we are giving up a cy young winner, top 5 pitcher, and your gonna give us your 3rd OF, a part time catcher/ DH and a couple fair prospects? I wouldnt do it if I was them.

They are going to lose him in a year for only two draft picks.
And your description of Napoli is incorrect. As a full-time DH never having to catch, he’d be monster bat. And Rivera is more than a 3rd outfielder. He’s cheap w/ 2 years left on the contract and his performance is worth 2-3 times his cost.
Now, I don’t know if the Blue Jays would take the package, but it’s better than you’re making it out to be.
Rivera is cheap and under control for two years
Which would shore up LF for you guys while Snider gets his shit together.
If you want to flop out Napoli for a Saunders, then try that, but either way Reckling and Bwhateverthefuckhisnamesiujooorsrs are going to be asked for.
I brought sexy back, but they only gave me store credit....
Rivera is our 2nd outfielder
Not our 3rd.

did you see him run in the playoffs
i wouldn’t even call it running. he jogged like mickey mantle around those bases. a guy who can’t run and doesn’t hit a lot of home runs is nothing but double play bait.
i wouldn’t mind vlad as a dh, but he cannot play right field.

Damn.
If this is accurate (that’s always a big if), it sound like Vlad realizes his skills have greatly diminished. If so, what does this mean for his confidence?
How the mighty have fallen… (yeah, I know it happens to all of us eventually).
I wonder how much Seattle will sign him for?

It really depends how much room they have after they get Granderson from the Yankees
the M’s hear he is availible

With Figgy gone
the Halos cannot afford to allow Vlad to also walk. That would two of the most popular faces of the franchise leaving in one season. Should this happen, the Angels will have to sign somebody major. And I hope that name is not Bay. It can be Bay and someone else, but not just Bay.
When I'm not at the stadium, I'd rather be watching my Halos back in Costa Rica!
GMJ for Halliday, straight up.
Sounds like a fair trade to me.
