Vlad and Shields in Sports Illustrated All Decade team
Vlad seemed like a fairly safe bet, though it's good to see Scot with one T picked out as the decade's top set-up man...

whenever im feeling down
i remind myself that shields is coming back in 2010 and then I FEEL ABSOLUTELY AWESOME.
What do you need a fancy suit for, Charlie, you ain't got no job to wear it to.
We've also got the #5 game of the decade!
You all know which one it is…
Game 6 of the ‘02 WS. (for those of u who weren’t fans back then ;)

Not only #5 but...
Our game is the highest ranked game not involving the Yankees. So to crack the top five and not have played the Yankees….wow, that was a great game. Even outsiders have to admit it.
But, of course, if that would have been against the Yankees in a game 6, it would have been top 2 or 3.
Good to see a healthy amount of Angels' stuff
Vlad, Shields, Kennedy, and Anderson. Plus game 6 of the ’02 WS.
Good memories!

Game 6 is #5 and #4-1 are Yankee games
So without bias you can see that what SI means is that Game 6 is best game of decade on its own merit, that being it ACTUALLY WAS the greatest game of the decade. From start to finish its a nailbiter even 8 years later
It wasn't a nailbiter until the 7th
We were getting shutout… 5-0 is not a nailbiter. Our COMEBACK is what made it the game of the decade.
For instance, that 1-0 Yanks-A’s game was a nailbiter…
Doesn’t make it any less amazing though

You're telling me that getting shutout in Game 6 of the world series isn't nailbiting?
I was on edge that entire game.
