Nice article on our new closer!
Apparently he baffles hitters, which includes Ryan Howard.

Which begs the question
How hard is it to fool Howard if he can strike out 200 times a season?
replacement level analysis
Ah. Right.
Didn’t catch that.
replacement level analysis
OK...
So I want to clarify that I mean no offense to 442 or anyone else personally, but an epidemic exists in the media, specifically sports media, involving the phrase “beg the question.”
“Begging the question” is a form of logical fallacy where the evidence for a proposition relies on the supposition that the proposition is true and is often referred to as a circular argument. A is true because of B; however, B is only true because of A. For example, “I didn’t steal the cookie because I’m not a thief.”
“Begs the question” is not synonymous with “leads one to ask” or “makes one question.” In an effort to be respectable media outlet, I propose that HH users refrain from using the phrase except to point out the fallacies in the arguments of ESPN and A’s fans.
Good. Now that that’s out of the way, I’d like to get back to my typical hatred of the media’s use of “forcing the issue” to mean “draws a foul” or overusing “football” to describe anything related to the NFL.
I stole the cookie.
But I did not shoplift the pootie.
Does this go into the category of “irregardless”?
