Was there anything more beautiful
than Frank at the height of his delivery with his right leg hanging in the air? Left-handed pitchers have always fascinated me but none more than Frank.
Two people defined the Angels for me: Ryan and Tanana. Let’s hope that the franchise tries and reconnect to Frank, he should be in the Angels HOF.
I started following this guy in about the fourth grade and even long after he left the Angels, I followed him via newspaper box scores and I was out of grad school when he finished with his 240th win and at the ending he was pitching on nothing but smarts. About five years ago, I saw a car in Yellowstone National Park with the vanity plates of Tanana, I searched the area for about hour hoping that indeed it was Frank. My wife was amazed at my man-crush (unfortunately, I don’t think it was Frank’s car).
