They think Brandon Wood -- who has hit 25 or more homers three times in the minors -- is going to be a contributing factor in the infield.
Peter Gammons has a small article up on the Halos... he mentions several young players by name, including Wood, Morales and Kendrick. Oddly enough, Erick Aybar was not mentioned once.

Lots of optimism from Hatcher...

The base-running drill Gammons is describing...
…was on Saturday at the first field directly west of the Stadium. It was really enjoyable. Scioscia was really working on the base-running.
I will try to post some pictures later (including 1-2 of Gammons).

Another guy Gammons didn't mention
Shane Loux.
I think it would be an awful shame for Loux to have the kind of spring he’s had and not make the team.

they see him making a contribution because they know someone will get hurt
not because theyre carving out a spot for him

53 of the 67 players in spring training were homegrown talents.

44th pick - Alphonso Smith cb Wake Forest
56th pick - Clint Sintim LB Virginia
