PrintAs the season starts it is going to get exciting and busy around here... so here are a few things I would like the community to keep in mind:
- 1. The site is growing and there are LOTS... of new members. Please be cool to new members and let them get to enjoy the place. IF they are idiots or act bad, their comeuppance will come up pretty quickly.
- 2. There really is no reason to have your emails be public on your profile and the feature can be easily edited. We get lots of trolls when the season starts and our high visibility with the national media is only going to increase. These days it is just common sense to keep your email address away from strangers and don't EVER have a password involving the Angels that might be easy for a hacker to guess (I changed "Salmon15" just last month)...
- 3. We are not a site who spends every other post bragging about how great and bigshot our blog is (we don't have to), SO... thanks for being loyal but we really don't need people posting about how terrible any other fansites are. We're the #1 Angels blog, we don't have in-house counting that can be manipulated, our blog's independent sitemeter (the green box in the lower right corner of the homepage) says it all, so we don't have to.
- 4. The rules for the site are in the right sidebar, feel free to remind people of them, this community is welcome to self-police, just don't go Rampart on anyone. You can always email me (also in right sidebar) if something here is freaking you out. If it doesn't seem right, it probably isn't.
- 5. Thou shalt not kill.
This is a site for intelligent people so you either get my drift here or whatever...

And concerning the public email...
I just took mine down.
I actually had an A’s fan email me, giving me shit, after I posted here that I thought the A’s would get swept in the 2006 playoffs (yes I was talking out of my ass).
He then emailed me again apologizing after Detroit swept them.
I have nothing important to say.
I list an alternate e-mail in public profiles for that reason
I’m more careful with my main e-mail, but have a secondary e-mail address on the web for spam.
I do check the one in my profile, but I don’t leave it up all day like I do my main one.
I can't wait for another season at HH. I've been working on some test shots for a new semi-naked, pro-Angels photo.

Very distracted by the lack of UCLA in the tourney

I totally clustered the user interface and did not complete my brackets. I though I did, but I was wrong. Idiot me.
Then, I thought that I needed to find the One Big Upset and had it nailed, but then kept going back and adding one more upset, one more upset, one more upset. I filled out my brackets too soon and could not leave well enough, alone. Doubly idiotic.
Now I just track my results and think about what might have been. I cannot look away. Triply idiotic.
What no spring training play-offs???
Good thing there’s no playoffs in spring training or the Ankles would be dropped in the first round (as usual). Looks like they’re hanging around with the Yankees too much lately and catching they’re bad habits!
Sorry Cali fans. Oakland is going to end your string of 1st round eliminations this year, because your run is all over. Not giving greedy Teixeira what he wanted will seal your fate for 2009. Plus no Frankie……your doomed for sure!

housecleaning
my cleaning lady could kick the shit out of 95% of the guys on this site. She brings her sister along to do the laundry and the sister cold take on half of youz. And missus Halofan took all those judo classes, so bring it on, bring it on, I don’t put on the maid outfit until all three of my bodyguards have been pinned!

Doing better now
Not sure if it was a strain or a mild tear, but I’m back to full activity. It even held up on a few black diamonds over Christmas vacation.
I owe the rapid recovery to an intensive regimen of what I believe to be vitamin B-12 injections that my seedy cousin procured on a visit to the Dominican Republic…

Whatever works! Glad to hear it it's healed.
I wish I could still ski…I had surgery 6 years ago. Cartilage is gone. I now have bone on bone. Not good. I can walk OK, and straignt ahead running is OK.
Any twisting motion guarantees pain & swelling.
