Yeah what a treat
Just happened upon it now
greatest game in angels history with possible exception to Game 7
I'm gonna drop the hammer, and dispense some indiscriminate justice!

so when GA swings at the 2-0 pitch to start the 7th and grounds to second
I think, he should have taken it but that aggressive Angels BB that worked in 2002 at least —plus GA gets the bases loaded double the next day. Now, Baker has just given Ortiz the game ball. I think good things are about to happen.

A friend of mine asked a good question
What do you think Ortiz did with the ball. Hahaha

ha, that is a good question, tosses it down the road, I guess

That ball is currently on display at the
Coulda Woulda Shoulda Museum located in Anywhere, Everywhere, USA. Don’t know the zip, but I’m sure you’ll find it if you look.

True story
At the commercial break, when the camera focused on Erstad as he ran in from the OF at the middle of the 8th, you could see his intense focus through the TV. I turned to Missus Clyde and said “Did you see that!? Ersty is locked in!”
She looked at me like I was a lunatic…

About a month ago they replayed game 7 on FSN.
I noticed the same thing. I don’t know why, but I had forgotten about the white hot intensity of Erstad. That replay brought it back to me.

...and when he led-off homered in the bottom of that 8th (2002 version)...
I said, to Missus Clyde, “See! See what I’m talking about?!”
and she looked at me like I was a lunatic…

Why doesn't Dusty Baker walk Glaus to load the bases?

I wish Glaus had stayed healthy
and not been a douche bag (from what I’ve heard) when I see his swing

Good call on the game.
I got there just in time to watch the 7th inning rally.

as lame and annoying as he is
His call about what might happen if Felix Rodriguez pitched inside to Spiezio was one of the few EXACT predictions I recall in sportscasting.

True...EXACT Prediction...
I remember him (and I haven’t been able to watch a replay since the game itself so I am going off of memory) saying, and I think the showed the hot/cold plate zone as well, that the only place to avoid with Spez was down and in for power. Felix put a couple down and in that Spez fouled too – then came down an in and OUT. I proceeded to lose my mind afterwards…

Or rather, you can watch it.
You used to be able to download it, but now they’ll only let you stream it.

Where
Where on MLB.com can you watch it? I was just looking around and couldn’t find it?
by SMUangelFan on Mar 30, 2009 10:39 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
It IS hard to find, especially after they changed the format to buying stuff from I-Tunes.
Go here. Click on the final score to watch the whole game, or any half-inning to begin the feed at that point. You’ll need an MLB.tv membership to watch, or you’ll have to buy access to the library.

I don't give MLB money for digital anything
They have a terrible record with DRM, not to mention deceptive billing cycles and useless customer service.

Fair enough. What about I-Tunes?
You can buy famous games there for 1.99, just like you would a TV episode. Right now they’ve only got Game 7 up, but I’d guess they’ll have Game 6 there sooner or later.

Buy it from www.pontel.com
Just got my entire WS games 1 – 7 and they play on my DVD player just fine, even though they say “PAL FORMAT.” All this for only about $60! Yee haw!

Fullmer
Just saw Fullmer, forgot how much of a beast he was…. Where’d he ever end his career?
by SMUangelFan on Mar 31, 2009 8:05 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
Texas...
got injured probably just prior to a drug test. Then, he vanished, poof, gone. Probably back up in Chatsworth or Van Nuys or somewhere’s up in the North Valley.

Best Game In History?
I’m somewhat biased since I was there to witness the comeback, but do you think this game is one of the best, if not the best in Angels history? It was miserable the first six innings watching Russ Ortiz dominate us, and thinking were 9 outs away from losing the World Series. But after Garrett grounded out to lead off the 7th, everything changed and our franchise has reached prominence since then.
I also noticed something, this team had a certain spark among them that I have yet to see since 2002. What is it that they need to regain? Or was it the “us against the world” mentality they possessed? There’s just that feeling now when we reach the playoffs of, “here we go again……”.

I had mailed it in...
while I sat in the left field bullpen area by myself (I bought a single ticket). From the lowest low to the highest high all in the span of an inning.
Definitely the best game I have ever seen and will ever see. That shit didn’t really happen did it? I mean, Spiezio struck out, right? (PINCH, PINCH). I still don’t believe it.
