With A-Rod being on the shelf until April or May, would the Yankees make a good trade partner for the Angels with a move?

If the yankees were smart

they’d put jeter at 3rd during this time and get a real shortstop and dramatically improve their defense

I don’t know it would be a smart move for us. Figgins would get to showcase what he’s got in a contract year. Playing back-up to the stars. WE could probably ask for some top AA talent. It gives Wood his chance at 3B. We can leave Aybar at SS and still keep Izturis as our roving back-up.

It almost makes too much sense for us.
