I know what you mean...
But he was opening day starter, right? That means he was on track to get one of the extra starts this season. Not possible anymore. So it works for me.
i.e.
162 / 5 = 32.4
156 / 5 = 31.2
So assuming he’s healthy and the Sox don’t do any four man rotation stuff with days off like the Angels did, then he lost a start.
