Adenhart Tragedy Inspires Accountability
According to NY Daily News, former GOP Representative Vito Fossella has plead guilty to DUI. He was inspired by the Adenhart tragedy to do this.
The article makes it look as though this may have just been a bald publicity stunt or trivial reaction to public pressure. But regardless, it means that at least one person is accepting responsibility for his actions in getting behind the wheel drunk. Though Fossella appears to be not that great a person--he was keeping two separate families, apparently--hopefully his high profile and the reasons he gave for pleading guilty will lead to that many more people taking on their own accountability, too.
Thoughts?

Hmm
My HTML powers have failed me, apparently. Not really sure what I did wrong there—so if anyone’s able to fix it, much appreciated.
RIP Nick Adenhart.

I'd like to think the guy was TRULY humbled...
…but then I think this this is a politician…and probably an attorney….thinking about his political future…trying to take advantage of the emotion of the moment.
And then I read this from the article…
“When one of Fossella’s three lawyers asked him if he’d mind beginning his sentence Friday night, he waved his hand with disgust and muttered, “Fine.”
…and conclude my initial instincts were probably accurate.

Fossella's History
Total stunt…..Same guy that preached family values all the while maintaining a mistress and love child while in Congress

Stunt or not
Its still a good thing. Maybe thats the idealist in me speaking, but as long as people are doing good I think thats the most important thing (motives aside).
RIP #34

I am no fan of Vito Fossella
Holding different views then me (I’m very socially progressive) is fine, but to be a total hypocrite while preaching intolerance is not.
However, I guess it is good that he is taking some accountability. Too bad it has taken such a tragedy to “inspire” this guy to do this.
RIP Nick. My thoughts go out to your family, friends and fans.
