it got taken down within minutes of the deadspin thing

its more brainfreeze than lack of respect.

lets remember the health of the staff was a major storyline way before nick’s passing. Even with nick gone, our #1, 2 and 3 starters are still all on the DL.

i get why it looks terrible and i thought the same, but lets cut them some slack and at least give them credit for taking it down quick.

I really wanted another excuse to hate them, but this didn’t do it for me. The point about the NASCAR commercial was a little far-fetched as well. It reminded me of when I worked at a Los Angeles radio station during 9/11. All of a sudden we wouldn’t play any song that mentioned airplanes, skyscrapers, or even the city of New York. Seemed pointless to me at the time, and it assumes that we’re all overly sensitive clowns who can’t grieve properly.

That being said, ESPN is practically non-existent in my house since the debut of the MLB network.
