Around SBN: Holy War Week Brings out the Worst in Fans

The DL God has Struck!

Are you serious? Any starter, Dustin Moseley, has been sent to the DL. Another pitcher hurt. So let's see: 4 pitchers on the DL, and one, well, you know what happened. Anyway, I have never seen so many pitchers hurt at the same start.

Another dumb thing is that when Mose was sent with Vlad to the DL, Soth chose to pick Rick Thompson and....Dan Davidson? WTH? Maybe Wood has some sort of cancer, 'cause Wood is on FIRE, and you don't bring him up? So let me do the math: You send one hitter and one pitcher to the DL, and you get back two pitchers? In addition, the Angels have already been struggling?

Feel free to comment on this outrageous decision by Soth.

Angels need the pitchers

Oliver is likely to go three innings at most. Loux is slated to start on Sunday and the longest start of his career lasted six innings.

The Soth has no choice. He has to load up the bullpen.

But when you struggle on offense, why don't you bring up Woody?

It’s not like Davidson’s gonna help

In 3 innings Davidson has been solid for the Bees.

Thats more than most of our ’pen can say.

Note that the call up of Davidson is most likely to cover only the next 2 games

With an off-day on Monday, I suspect that Davidson will be sent down and Wood will be called up just prior to the Angels homestand starting on Tuesday.

The current short-term pitching moves are necessary to shore up an overtaxed bullpen.

i agree....were not going to keep 13 pitchers...

someone is going down. I suspect its bulger though. I think Soth is going to give Davidson a chance.

I heard Bulger is out of options?

Let's do this for Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Henry Pearson.

He can't pitch either.

i see the logic

our starters arent good and we need long relievers to come in if the starters only go 2-4 innings.

that said, when is Wood EVER going to get his ABs?

If the Angels want to grab Byrd or Pedro they better act fast

Chien-Ming Wang couldn’t get out of the 2nd inning today, as the Indians went on to score FOURTEEN RUNS in the 2nd!

The Indians currently lead 20-2 as the game heads to the bottom of the 5th.

In three starts this season, Wang has pitched a total of 6 innings, while surrendering 23 hits and 23 runs.

20-4

The hated Yanks just managed to score another safety to counter the Indians 2TD in the 2nd.

thanks

throught the offseason i kept saying we should sign another SP. I didnt think anything this bad would happen to our rotation, and hoped we wouldnt need the extra help, but I guess I am just paranoid about pitchers. I feel like a team can never have enough of them.

That'll only happen if that one prospect is the second coming of Christ and redemption for mankind can only be achieved by smacking many balls out of the yard.

It's true ...

for the Yankees to succeed, they need to have a healthy Wang. That’s all there is to it.

And yet

thanks to the fact that he’s out of options, the Yankees’ Wang might get cut.

Witty .sig goes here.

They would probably be crazy to do that.

Unless this keeps up for a couple more starts. To be honest, the Yankee defense hasn’t helped him out a bit.

Let's do this for Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Henry Pearson.
