Oakland can forget about San Jose
Maybe they can find some other location with a BART station. That is the determining criteria is it not?

Where there’s a bart, there is surely a homer.

Interesting
That didn’t really read like it was saying Oakland was hosed in San Jose. But I liked the idea of the close relationship between the Minor League Giants and the Major League Giants.
Sometimes I wish the Quakes and the Angels had a similar relationship. The Angels could sell Quakes gear, maybe even change the franchise name and logo. Maybe even offer 2 for 1 nights, buy tickets to the Quakes and get seats to an Angels game.

Futures Night
Quakes and Halos double-header. Quakes play the minor league affiliate of the visiting MLB team, so that both sides have friendly faces in their clubhouses.

That's actually pretty cool idea.
If you do a double header on a Saturday Night… 3pm start for the Quakes, 7:05pm start for the Angels?

Oh yeah,
Now that the Giants own one fourth of the A-ball affiliate in the 10th largest city in the country, that’ll definitely keep MLB owners from wanting the A’s to move there and make them all more money.
Right.

selig is afraid of "disrupting" the giants stranglehold on peninsula fans
and wouldn’t sign off on a potential a’s move to sj, ever. he would however greenlight a sacramento or portland relocation if it came to it

and having lived in sf for six years
i can tell you that sj locals are the most rabid giants fans i’ve met up here, sf has more of the suit & tie, pinot grigio “fan base”
