Figgins and Abreu are a combined 14-for-15 in steals, each with seven. Figgins got thrown out once (even though a television replay indicated he was safe). ... Hunter owns a seven-game hitting streak, hitting .360 during the run. ... Erick Aybar batted .350 (7-for-20) on the road trip. ... Angels starters have pitched into the sixth inning in 10 of 12 games and own a 2.86 collective ERA.
As the article goes on to state, our problem is hitting with runners in scoring position--in these situations were batting 221. Apparently, Soth has plans to shuffle up the lineup to change that trend (although, so far they don't include a Brandon Wood call-up).
Things could be worse. We still got a good team out there--even Aybar is hitting!-- its just a matter of getting timely hits to score some runs. Have some faith!
