Isn't it early for a lineup?
I thought Soth talked to the press around 4:00? Then again I really never pay close attention to that stuff.
Why is this sickening?
I think thats a fine lineup.
Oh right, Jesus Christ of Angels baseball isnt in the lineup.
Better go count your rosaries, kid.

yeah why change up a lineup thats near the bottom in every offensive category in the AL......
that would be silly.

13 games in man
not even 10% of the season. lets have some faith in the scioscia!
LETS GO HALOS!!!!
There is an "Angel in the outfield" and his name is GA! ps. he is lazy but not a bum GO HALOS!
Im all for the Soth........
he knows way more than me…..but sometimes his stubborness (if that is even a word) is frustrating………
through 13 games no one….and I repeat no one…..has scored less runs than us…..in the entire ML.

i feel ya on the frustration
all im saying is that we should not use this “small sample size” as a means to judge. give these guys a chance to adapt/adjust to the loss (im not trying to use adenharts death as a crutch). just think man with a win tonight and a loss by texas were tied for second place- which is pretty good given the circumstances.
i along with the rest of us dont know why the soth thinks micetits batting 3rd and dhing last night was a good idea, but he is trying man. shaking things up a bit.
the real problem is our bully, we shouldnt have called up bwood- too much pressure right now for him to produce not gonna work. calling him up mid-may with some consistent ab’s will.
hold out the faith! and GO HALOS!!!!

my faith has/will never waver......
atleast the lineup tonight LOOKS better……we have gotten NO production from the 2 hole..and putting bobby and torii 3-4 is a smart move…..but we need some influx of power somewhere…….sometime.

it'll
come as the season comes along. its a marathon not a race.i much rather see struggles and slumps to begin the season than towards the end.
besides we’re(by we’re i mean MLB) setting up one hellova cinderella story come the stretch/playoffs. ;p

Kid, nice try?
Have you not been watching the same baseball games as everyone else? If you have you might notice that Aybar and Izzy are not hitting, not getting on base, not stealing bases, not getting clutch hits and are an easy out every time up
I don’t know maybe you enjoy a lineup filled with slap hitters, who right now arent even slap hitters at the moment
Maybe you think Aybar and Izzy are doing a great job at the dish, I recall seeing Izzy was batting .157 last night at the stadium, he started the night at .200 and kept going lower and lower.
Finally what is the point of calling B Wood up, which I have agreed in prior posts is not the Savior, but has more upside and power than any combination of Aybar and Izzy (probably combined) if you are not going to play him? They could have called anyone else up to ride the pine, while he got AB’s at SLC. Plus they are talking about sending Woody back down tomorrow.
To me it makes no sense, maybe you can enlighten me with your knowledge and insight Pops!
R.I.P. Nick, you are missed!
Figgy and Aybar have been getting on base.......
however…..its just been like the entire offense (minus Torii and Bobby) and inconsistantly.

P 237, which one is it? Kid or Pops?
Be enlightened:

Figgins and Abreu are a combined 14-for-15 in steals, each with seven. Figgins got thrown out once (even though a television replay indicated he was safe) while Erick Aybar batted .350 (7-for-20) on the road trip (and contributed an RBI last night if I remember correctly).

oh and Izzy went 2 for 4 last night.
I want Wood to bat too. However, I dont think that our lineup is "sickening’.

and cost us runs with his glove
the slap hitters value is supposed to he in his fielding…if he is going to play D like he did last night, I would much rather have B Wood in there with his upside and still a serviceable SS
R.I.P. Nick, you are missed!
Where is a good Mexican food place by the stadium

Los Sanchez
It is the best Mexican food. It is located in Garden Grove on Garden Grove Blvd just west of Harbor. Not too far from the Big A
that's what i don't understand
its like they want to make it impossible for him when he is given a start since he hasn’t seen game pitching in like a week. Then he does well in a game like last year and he’s getting more splinters the very next day.
Never is a strong word, UCI…
He’s been up for two games and played in zero thus far. Give the Soth some slack.

This sucks, as I am trying to get somebody to trade me Justin Verlander in roto, and after he throws a four-hit shutout tonight it will be much harder.
Saving countless runs with my defense.
you want Wake?......not
Back to back complete games….
bwahahahah…..what a steal :)

I thought one of Aybar and Izzy was bad
But I guess they both cancel each other out right? Thats the philosophy here right?
RIP #34
We just scored 10 runs with that lineup
I guess that’s the chance one takes when doing a post of this sort right before the game. Risky.
Angel Pitching (Adenhart), Angel Defense - get past that.

Let's do this for Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Henry Pearson.
what about a lineup looking like this?
Figgy, Kendrick, Bobby, Torii, Morales, Nappy, HGH jr, Rivera (DH), Izzy
i did the math and it adds up to ~5 runs/game

fair enough
any suggestions than not pertaining to firing scioscia or heaven forbid the Wood debate! try out the link make some changes and see what you can come up with.
wouldnt it be nice if the fellow hher’s had some faith and realized we’re ONLY 14 games in?! I’m willing to take some of the “donated” tickets, jerseys, hats off your hands! ;p
GO HALOS!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry man — I just thought the overall agreement here (universally, for a change) was that HK was no good in the #2.
Yeah, stuff has been piling up on my doorstep — tons of Hatcher, Alfonzo, and Steve Finley jerseys! ;)

well hook a brotha up!
and you’re right it’s universally agreed that HK sucks in the 2 hole. i tried the link and put izzy there and HK in the 9 hole which yeilded a .108 run differential (if memory serves correctly). but who knows man, as soon as vladdy is back our lineup looks (on paper) to be better if we alternate juan and gulp hghj in right
thank god im not coaching and scioscia is!
