LunchTime Pregame Thread
Use this thread to talk about life and baseball (but not religion or politics) until Game Time.
Tonight Joe Saunders faces Adam Eaton and the Baltimore Orioles. Eaton was released by the Phillies in February, signed by the Orioles and recalled from AAA on April 12.
Weather: Partly cloudy. Game time temperature around 80
Read about our opponent at SBN's award-winning Orioles blog, Camden Chat, who are lamenting the tornado called the Rangers that just blew through Baltimore.

Tonight is my first Angels game of the season!
I’ll be rocking my foam hand, jersey and hat all the way out here in Baltimore!
Go Halos! Representing on the east coast is awesome
Driven into right-center field, Erstad says he has it...the Angels, world champions!
Very nice!
Should be a fun romp for the good guys.
Let's do this for Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Henry Pearson.
Life is one of my top 5 breakfast cereals
Best breakfast cereals:
1. Cocoa Puffs
2. Life
3. Capn Crunch
4. French Toast Crunch
5. Peanut Butter Cap’n Crunch

Is Life the one Mikey likes?

Mad respect...
For choosing original Capn Crunch over Crunch Berries.
Gotta go with:
1. Cookie Crisp
2. Capn Crunch
Tie for 3. Cocoa Pebbles / Cocoa Puffs
4. Golden Grahms
5. Lucky Charms.
Honorable mention goes to Oh’s, which are pretty effin delicious.

Crunchberries suck.
1. Frosted Mini Wheats
2. Froot Loops
3. Wheat Chex
4. Cap’n Crunch
5. Cinnamon Life
Angels fan since '67
Thank goodness someone has sense.
Frosted Mini Wheats is win! But then so is Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and that’s been completely ignored.
WIth that said, I like to mix it up. Even some Honey Nut Cheerios are good now and then, and anything with sweet crunchy clusters is always nice.
Let's do this for Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Henry Pearson.
Crunchberries do indeed suck...
But peanut butter Cap’n Crunch rocks!
+1
Angel Pitching (Adenhart), Angel Defense - get past that.

I'm down to 1 class, 26 pages, and 1 final before I get my JD.
and 2 months of bar prep, 1 bar examination before I hopefully become a lawyer. And I’m actually way more worried about getting a job than anything else.
Driven into right-center field, Erstad says he has it...the Angels, world champions!
hey congrats.....
my own personal feelings for law folks aside……….it’s not joke getting through all that….good luck in the future with that.

i had to go to law school to realize that lawyers suck and i want to be a chef

Congrats...
Seriously.
And now to cue the lawyer jokes:

Faaaaa
My 86-year-old grandpa broke his arm/shoulder and cracked a rib when he fell while BBQing the other day. Luckily he’s only in a sling, but damnit it makes me think that he’ll be leaving this world soon. Makes me sad.
I don’t think I see him as much as I should.
Maybe we should take him with us
on our next trip to the Tartan Room
I have nothing important to say.
And it continues
My buddy just called saying he’s in hospital and had his appendix removed, and his truck was stolen and found completely stripped.
BBQ Thread
What kind of BBQ do you use when grilling (or do you do old-skool BBQ)?
Me, I use a Weber Genesis Silver B. Gas grill. I want to get my hands on a classic kettle grill for charcoal.
Angels fan since '67
old skewl black weber
does the trick for me!

hickory and mesquite chunks for me
Usually while using my smoker but also my char-broil old skool grill. I love bbq, man.
My Dad always said,
“Never discuss religion or politics in social situations.”
I generally just avoid social situations altogether, just to be safe.

Defense appalling!
I am more concerned with our long-term problems with Defense than I am with our bullpen woes…for a team built on “pitching and defense” we ain’t got no D!
Miss you Nick...! RIP
we all got it
If i never hear a Manhattan Transfer song again my life will be complete.
Adenhart 1986-2009
Whoa. Scared me for a second there..
I thought this was one of those mid-day east-coast games. You know the ones they play so folks on the east coast don’t have to whine about staying up too late…
God needed a starter. RIP #34
I'm a whiner...
Staying up for the 10:00 ET games stinks! I’m just happy I get to watch the whole game, go halos!
No
The town I live in is so small that we are not able to get Tivo or any similar DVR. That sounds like a joke I know but it’s true.
Dude, that sucks. I guess I'm spoiled.
The funny thing is that when I record games and don’t have a chance to watch them later, I have to avoid talking to people all day for fear I might hear who won the game. HA HA!
God needed a starter. RIP #34
Options
They make non-cable DVR’s you can buy, or use Windows media center. It’s all about options.
Nick, you will always be an Angel. And you will be missed.

Hey, they moved Howie down to the 7 spot just as he starts getting hits. Genius!
RIP Nick Adenhart, #34
Just looking at some numbers...
The only guys Hokie Joe will really need to avoid are…
Aubrey Huff- .500 w/ 12ABs (2004-08)
Melivn Mora- .462 w/ 13ABs (2004-08)
and maybe Luke Scott- .600 w/ 5ABs (2004-08) although doesn’t look like Scott is in the lineup today.
Anyone else getting hot on the Os?
God needed a starter. RIP #34
Adam Jones has been rakin all year
But he’s a career 1-7 vs. Saundo. He’s 4-13 vs. LHP this season.

Top 3 Things that stink about living in the Pacific Northwest right now:
1. Mariners fans arrogance about being in 1st place
2. Lack of In-N-Out Burger locations
3. Portland Trailblazers crapping the bed in the playoffs
Perhaps you've heard of me from the pages of Sports Illustrated...
The Mariners can have 1st place in April, we’ll take it in October.

Well, I'd rather be hearing from Mariners fans than Dodgers fans. Ughhhh...
Yeah, I get it. Your team looks like THA BEST EVAR!!!! when you’re playing the Rockies, Giants and Nationals. Now please, shut up Mr. Dodger fan.
