Hicks / Rangers in trouble...
Tom Hicks' holding company for his US sports investments (including the Rangers and the Stars) defaulted on $525m of loans today. Without further investment, he seems to be in a spot of bother.
What will this mean for the Rangers?

Yes, that would be right up there...
…but it’s the beginning of the season for baseball – hope, expectation, blind faith – plenty still to come.
On this side of the pond, it’s down to the last 6 weeks in the premier league and it’s bloody tight at the top.
Man U, Real Madrid and Aston Villa have all been thrashed in successive games, the coach just signed on for 5 more years, Gerrard and Kuyt signed new contracts today and if we win tomorrow we go top of the league.
All we need to go right is for Hicks to disappear from our lives and everything will be perfect on the red half of merseyside. And if, as an added bonus, his financial ignominy drags the Rangers to the bottom of the pile, then that’s just the cherry.

Yeah. Who cares how much this damages the Rangers.
The REAL question is how much will this benefit LFC!!!!!
I assume that, based on their recent offensive prowess, the players have already started to delight in their future prospects?
Team is fired up and scoring for fun, everyone has signed a new contract...
…and we’ve got the Red Filth in our sights. The next 6 weeks will be awesome.
And on top of that, the baseball season is about to start. It couldn’t be better in my sporting world right now.
