That'll only happen if that one prospect is the second coming of Christ and redemption for mankind can only be achieved by smacking many balls out of the yard.

i seriously want to punch a baby.

GAH!

oh yeah, the Q-Stick MASHES lefties (FOR ONE YEAR, SCIOSCIA! ONE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!)

…at least Nappy’s DHing.

rediculous

Scioscia said “We’re confident he can go out there and help us. But he won’t be up here sitting for two weeks or three weeks without playing. If there’s no role for him, then we’ll have to re-evaluate it.”

He’s had 4 at bats in 2 weeks now? Maybe even longer

by JobaCyYoung on May 1, 2009 2:51 PM PDT up reply actions

no, thats about right

i just posted this on another site…

“he is stubborn. he likes his style and won’t deviate – to a fault. this is the fault.

your best prospect has fixed his swing, torn up AAA pitching for 2+ years, and showed he can MLB pitching in Spring and his 1 start. oh, and he plays above average defense, too. one more thing… he runs well, too.

where’s the downside?!"

but no, we’ll run out Erick “I can’t get on base to save my life” Aybar because of his “fantastic” defense.

Thank you, Nick Adenhart. You will always be remembered. #34

Lyle Spencer on tonight's lineup

See Lyle’s comments here. I like Nap in there—we should see more of that.

by Diving Catch on May 1, 2009 3:17 PM PDT up reply actions

i dont like Mathis too much

but i LOVE Nappy in the DH slot. i think it’s the perfect spot for him, so we can have his bat in there every day.

but Mathis and Ayabr in the same lineup together (let alone one right after the other) is an abortion.

Thank you, Nick Adenhart. You will always be remembered. #34

by howiestheman on May 1, 2009 3:51 PM PDT up reply actions

Nap at DH

will invariably mean Mathis in the 8 or 9-hole. I agree about Aybar. Scioscia is giving him every chance but there is no consistency. If Wood won’t be moved from his spot near the water cooler, than I’d rather have the Boy King playing at SS.

by Diving Catch on May 1, 2009 3:55 PM PDT up reply actions

yeah

but ideally it should be Woody in there.

Naps is DH’ing. This is a positive start.

Next is the purge Aybar from the lineup.

At least they provide some offense.

If they aren’t going to use Wood, why even have him in the show?
