Finding Comfort in this Tragedy
Nick Adenhart was a STAR waiting to Shine, and now he is taken from us in a tragic accident. I was a huge fan of this kid, going to his MLB debut and to his last start of his career. I pray to God to bring comfort to his Family, Friends, Team Members, and Fans. I cannot find words to explain how I feel but I wanted to share this with all of you, in hope of helping anyone cope with this tragic ending to the life of Nick Adenhart 22.
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16:33
"Let your Heart not be troubled; you believe in God, Believe also in Me. In my Father's house are many mansions.....I go to prepare a place for you. And If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that were I am, there you may be also." John 14:1-3
"...Rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulation, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, HOPE." Romans 5:2-4
"Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." 2 Corinthinans 1:3-4
May God bring comfort to all who are effected by the loss of Nick Adenhart. May he be in Gods presence.

WOW!
Acuda, may god bless your soul God has given you the wisdom to say what all of Christians are feeling about now. The tragedy of an event such as this, is not in that we have lost a loved one, but in the force of his soul. Gods plan, although not known to us, is a beautiful mystery. One that will be revieled to all true belivers at the right time.

I am comforted/happy, too
That if this tragedy had to happen, it happened just around Easter—and so can remind us, too, of the promise and hope and life beyond what we see on Earth. Thank you, Acuda.

I said to my self someone should take a picture of that . Its once in a life time it seemed perfect. Then I got to work heard the news and just sat back and said to my self wow those beams of light where from adenhart i will never forget that moment

Sincere Condolences
from an A’s fan. Sadness pervades baseball today.
No gloating, no hallelujahs, just sadness.
Never Prouder...
of the people that write in this blog. Guys, the Christianity that is being shown is “off the hook.” I know that God has done his job with a few of us, and all those in this fanpost have really surprized me. Thanks Acuda, Anaheimhalos61, alwaysangels, Jangel7, Downing Rules and the rest of you. I have professed my beliefs in the past and its good to know that we DO HAVE a Christian base here. You see, out of bad, can come some good. May God Bless all of you my brothers. Just an old man here that has a tear in his eye.

great post the Lord brings comfort during times like these, the enemy is always up to his tricks in death and deception, but the Lord overcomes the world and has eternal life waiting for his sons and daughters

He was called up
When he was in Rancho Cucamonga, he was trying show enough to be called up to Arkansas. At Arkansas, we was trying to get to Salt Lake, then from Salt Lake to the big A. Last night Nick proved himself ready at the big league level. But there was one more callup for him.
If there’s a Heaven I can’t imagine it without baseball. And next Monday Nick will make his first start there. When the Babe tries to call his shot, I hope Nick puts one in his ear.

God is Good
God is everywhere, its just when we realize he is there… He needed a new ACE in heaven.
your time is now our time
Thank you acuda and brothers/sisters in Christ.
I was so depressed all day at work, trying not to let my students see my sorrow. I couldn’t wait to get home and get on HH. I knew it would be uplifting. Thank you all. I have been praying all day that God would do what He does best, and somehow cause some good to come out of this evil. I pray that somehow through the loss of Nick, at least one soul, if not many more, would be saved.
Keep those hammies limber, boys.
Sorry Angels fans.
This is a terrible trajedy for all baseball fans everywhere.

great post, acuda
to echo the thoughts of Hapyorange… even though we don’t know why God took Nick from us, we can rest assured knowing that Nick fulfilled his purpose here on Earth, and he did it well.
we got to see Nick at his best, and we can always cherish that, knowing he went out on top and happy.
Thank you, Nick Adenhart. You will always be remembered.
Free Indeed
“If The Son sets you Free YOU are FREE INDEED! John 8:36.Mr Nick Adenhart you are now,Free Indeed.God has a plan for your life.It is so comforting to read the other posts here at HH.I live less than mile from where this accident happened in Fullerton.Orangethorpe and Lemon.Even though I did not hear the accident,I did hear the emergency vehicles and several hours later, there was the news helicopters, hovering overhead. At the time I did not know who was involved in this accident. But later on in the day,I could not believe the news that Nick Adenhart of the Angels was one of 3 persons, who lost their lives. Its hard to see anything good coming out of this tragic happening.BUT MAYBE, this will STOP someone somewhere from driving drunk.I just cant stop shaking my head and thinking, this tragic accident could have been prevented.
Thanks Acuda!
This is my favorite post from you yet! May we all find comfort from the Almighty Sovereign God. He is at work even when we can’t see or understand.
Blessings to you brother!

I am sorry, so sorry about this
I am at a loss for words. Like Acuda I believe in our Lord … Nick is with him now, this is just so so difficult. May his family and friends and teammates have strength and faith at this horrible time.
Our loss is Jesus Christ’s gain.
Everyone, keep praying.

Thoughts and Prayers to all involved
My thoughts and prayers go to Adenhart’s family, friends and the Angels as well as well as the family and friends of those that passed with him. I also hope the person still fighting in the hospital is able to pull through. Also extend it to the fan that was senslessly taken on opening day as well. God Bless.

but would like to offer my most sinecere condolences for your dreadful loss.My heart goes out to his family and friends. He will be kept in my thoughts and prayers.
We will meet in Red 3 at the hour of scampering.
In Salt Lake today...
The Bees will be honoring Nick at a local church. I’m not going to be able to attend. But, obviously many of Bees players were great friends with Nick as well. We got to see him pitch a lot last year here in Salt Lake
. I am sure it will be a tender ceremony and I wish I could go. I will post any news I read about the ceremony.
