Halos to sign Rudy Seanez?
Looks like the Angels might be signing Seanez, who pitched for the Phils last year.

He's likely to spend time in Arizona
and then with the Bees before he touches a ball in Anaheim. If there’s nothing left in the tank, we’ll know before it hurts us, so this seems like a low risk (and low reward) signing. We’ve got some cash, so why not?

Wait, wait
Everyone’s coming back now, putting the pitching staff where it was expected to be to start the season and taking pressure off the bullpen…and NOW we sign relief?
RIP Nick Adenhart.

That's true, yet
I thought the idea was that once Lackey and Santana are back, Palmer and Loux—they of the recent dominance—will be in the bullpen, and hopefully making a good transition there. I suppose Saenz would be more dependable than a Jepsen or a Bulger, but I’m still feeling like this move is a little late in the game…maybe it could have helped a month ago? I don’t know, I’m sure Del Ninja knows what he’s doing!
RIP Nick Adenhart.

Who's are fifth starter then?
Palmer remains the fifth until Moseley comes back and then they duke it out for a spot in the rotation.

Signing Seanez? Is this 1997??
The dude could sure bring it, but that was during the first Clinton administration.

You know who else can bring it?
Monica Lewinsky and Ken Starr
Driven into right-center field, Erstad says he has it...the Angels, world champions!

David Vitter can bring it but you have to supply the diapers.

Seanez
Anybody against at least giving this guy a shot has not watched an inning of Angels baseball this season.

Um. Perhaps the starters getting kicked out of the rotation will help the bullpen.
Moreso than a 40 year old journey man.
Play Wood already. Willits sucks.

I remain in favor of signing 67 year-old Dave LaRoche
The Eefus pitch would sure help right about now.

No one else is nervous about this??
I am just curious what is going on behind the scenes here. Does this mean that we are not sure that Dondo, Fuentes, Shields are going to get it together again??
Who else is in the pen?? Oliver and Speier and we have Jepsen, Bulger on call. I assume Loux and maybe Moseley or Palmer soon.
Just wondering where the confidence is, and who he would knock out? Where does Escobar fit in (or is his regression worse than let on??).

Always looking ahead...
…and always looking for viable “re-tread” if all else fails.
At the start of ST, Matt Palmer was likely not even considered on SP depth chart. By the end of ST, he was likely 8th or 9th.
He got an opportunity only because of the variety of disabilities that hit he starters. And here he is, a 30 year old “virgin”, 4-0, and pitching his heart out.
Seanez is insurance ONLY if things get really desperate in the BP.

Virgin no more
Palmer was so getting laid after yesterday’s game.

From the article...
Efforts to reach Reagins have been unsuccessful.
Seems as if Tony’s in full on NINJA mode.

O'Day
I like Seanez. I remember having his “Hot Prospect” baseball card 20 years ago. If he can still get people out, let’s sign him.
Didn’t we have the option to resign Darren O’Day from the Mets after they yanked him away in the Rule 5?
He has an ERA around 1.00 with a 5:1 K:BB ratio.
Instead, he’s doing his stuff for the Rangers.
Even though Warner Madrigal has had a terrible year for the Rangers, the Angels let him go in a procedural screw up.
When our bullpen has been as bad as it has been, it really stinks seeing our old prospects on the first place club in our division…when we could have had them on our roster for next to nothing.
In Remembrance of Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, Henry Pearson. Heal soon Jon Wilhite.
I want Andrew Thomas Gallo to be a pinata, and the Angels supply the bats...
