The Best Away Game I've Ever Gone To
I've been to a few angel games away from the park, but this one is by far the best one.
My friend hooked it up with tickets to the game. Before the game started my friend told me to take off my angel jersey and hat. I resisted but eventually i gave in.
As I was walking to the section the guy guiding us to our seats bought me a "los dodgers" shirt. The reason he told me to do it was because our seats were in front of Frank McCourt. I met the man himself and I also met Tommy Lasorda. I was sitting right in front of the dodger on-deck circle.
Basically I was completely submerged in the dark side. I was the undercover angels fan but I loved every second of it. When the angels got the win, McCourt came up to and told me "People don't smile at Dodgers Stadium when they lose. I know your an angels fan but you guys got lucky." We both laughed and he shook my hand and we left.
As we were walking out Torii Hunter was headed to his car but I got to wave at him and I showed him my jersey and he gave me a smile and a thumbs up.
Today was definitely the opposite of my last trip. Last time I came I was in LF pavillion and Jered Weaver tossed a no-hitter loss. This will go down as my favorite baseball game ever.

Im headed to AT&T park on the 15th of June to watch the opener at the Giants...
I cant wait it will be my first ever live Angels game……….(Only ever been to the Latrine when I was younger because thats who my dad liked)
Doubt I’ll have any of the same experience you had seeing as I got seats in LF but 2nd row…….so prime home run territory…….Plus im breaking in my 6 month old too!

Sitting in FRONT of McCourt?
Damn good seats!

they were in his section
and only he and his friends are allowed in. My friend happened to be one of his friends. So McCourt was right behind me. Therefore I couldn’t say anything stupid.
Rest in Peace Adenhart

I used to love going to the Ravine and watching games.
I always rooted for the Home team.
Of course, that’s where the Angels were playing their home games back then.
Angel Pitching (Adenhart), Angel Defense - get past that.

Did you check your wallet after McCourt shook your hand
I hear he is pretty quick and pretty in need of the green…

Maybe he's not that in need of the green
Considering Manny wont be getting paid for 2 and a half months
Phys: Well, Coon doesn't have a lot of power but he's a good bunter
Coon: F$%# That!
Thanks Zu

Asking you to take off your Angels gear seemed really weird to me, regardless of who you're sitting in front of.
Whatever dude.

Interesting and maybe a true story -
On an episode of Seinfeld, Elaine wears her Oriole’s cap to a Yankee’s game. They have free tickets and are sitting in the owners box. She is asked to take of the hat or leave. She was forcibly removed
Executive Co-producer and writer of the show Larry David claims that he based that on a true story: He attended an Angels game with a friend who was given owner ticket seats (Gene Autry’s). He wore a Yankees hat, and was approached by someone in stadium management and asked to remove the hat. Don’t know if he removed it or what.
Angel Pitching (Adenhart), Angel Defense - get past that.

If Larry David is anything like his characters,
then he did not remove it.

Nice story
One detail is bugging me though.
I have heard from a generally reliable source that when the Angels play at the Latrine, Scioscia is very adamant that the team travel en masse in the team bus. I did my own little recon mission (complete with red camouflage) on April 2nd this year and confirmed that the players did indeed park at Angel Stadium before boarding the team bus to L.A.
Are you sure Torii wasn’t walking to the bus? (I wouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t though, cuz, you know, it’s Torii and he can pretty much do whatever he wants)

i saw him in the stadium still but I don't know where he was going
he probably was walking to the bus. But seeing Torii Hunter was badass to me

Torii chartered a plane that day to attend his paternal Grandmother’s funeral back in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He made it back to Angel Stadium 5 minutes prior to the start of BP on Monday.

Sorry...
I’m a “World Book” guy myself. Grew up with a 1969 version at my fingertips. It was a hard-bound version of the modern day internet. I can tell you Maryland’s state bird or the capital of Prince Edward Island off the top of my head thanks to those books. However, I never knew that there was a “new” Canadian province called Nunuvit. Sounds like “you will get none of it.” Wow. Back to work at the ecoterroristic salt mines.

What is Maryland’s State bird?
What is the capital of Prince Edward Island?

State bird is a laugher. Cal Ripken. Baseball team. There are your clues.
PEI’s capital is Charlottetown.
Although in the time I took to reply, I could have looked all this up…….
