I could'nt get a real job, so now I work for Jesus.
I am The Iron Man.

Easy there...
Some people dump “real” jobs to “work for Jesus”… I am a missionary in Romania because I love to do what I do. Not because I couldn’t hold down a real job. It’s important, whatever you do to have a passion for what you do and understanding with all people. Give the guy a break.

It’s cool to bash religion these days. 44 is just fitting in

Feel for you...
…about the only acceptable mainstream bigotry is against Christianity specifically and religion generally.
I likely do not agree with your religious views, but I honor and respect the work you perform in service to others.
I have a former co-worker that left 4 years ago for a “1 year” mission to Uganda…took his wife and 2 young children along. The original mission was to build an orphanage for children. The AIDS rate is REALLY high, and there are huge numbers of kids with no parents, and no homes.
The situation has become worse…he is in the northern part of Uganda. Refugees from Sudan have been fleeing into the region where he’s located. It’s a daily friggin’ nightmare…occasional military action…dead bodies are as common as weeds. The orphanage has become a quiet refuge in a storm of insanity. The problem is, they only have room for so many…
His one year mission as turned into…possibly a lifetime commitment. He and his family have remained, trying to help these people, to make a difference in their lives.
That’s some honorable and heavy lifting. It is remarkable to me that this is not just honored, but it is actually crapped on by so many. I just don’t understand it.
Anyway, I would love to hear more about your mission. If you need support, send an e-mail to my screen name at yahoo dot com. Thanks for your good works!

All I know is...
…if the bases are loaded and I am up by 1, and I need one guy to strike out Satan and save my soul, it won’t be Kent Bottenfield that gets that call.

Didn't Carl have

Jesus riding a dinosaur?
How would you like to be the lucky disciple to slap the riding gear on Mr. T-Rex? The token sacrificial lamb…
Besides, I think Fuentesaurus would be offended…

WTF???
“To paraphrase Billy Graham, Kent Bottenfield knows he is just a beggar trying to show other beggars where to get some bread.”

Good for Kent...
at least he proved useful in a much more important way.
In a year of such turmoil, whining still abounds.
