It Might Be Dangerous... You Go First
In case you've missed it, this is the Padres front office guy Paul DePodesta's blog. He's the only baseball exec that I know of who regularly posts articles about things that are going on with his team. This is really cool...and something I wish every team, especially the Angels.

Peavy was injured running the bases so they say....
If he were an Angel pitcher, he would not have been running any bases except in inter-league play, so the chances are he would be perfectly healthy right now had we signed him up.
I am the Iron Man
He has had a balky arm all year
Scouts say his stuff is not as crisp
Play Wood already. Willits sucks.
RE: Babe Ruth clip
I never realized how much Ruth’s swing was like Ichiro’s.
And, why are all the umps dashing off the field in such a hurry at 1:30??
We don't have a Bullpen. We have a Cowpen. Before we get to call it a Bullpen these guys gotta grow a pair.
At around 0:30 when he runs up on the pitch
looks like he’s playing slo-pitch softball.
"I see great things in baseball. It's our game, the American game. It will repair our losses and be a blessing to us."
Definitely Napoli
When he is on a hot-streak I love watching him hit. He has some “old school” qualities to him that I love.
Unshaven, jersey only half way buttoned and every swing is as hard as he can. Ever see Napoli get a “soft” basehit?? No way. Even his singles are crushed.

I've been reading DePodesta's blog
For a while, it’s pretty cool to see a FO guy explain the moves a team makes
I like Hula’s swing and the bat flip when he knows he crushed one
