Trevor Bell To Make AAA Debut Tonight
Sean O'Sullivan's promotion opened an AAA rotation spot for Bell, who's been the man in AA this season. The Bees are at home, so he'll be pitching in their bandbox of a stadium. As noted in this week's minor league report, he's handled the hitters' parks of the Texas League just fine, so hopefully the thin air and cozy dimensions won't require too much of an adjustment.

Bell pitched a gem
My wife and I went. Great game. Took lots of pics. Don’t know if I can post them here though…do they have to be somewhere online for me to link them?
That Colorado Springs team has tons of ML re-treads: Mark Bellhorn, the infamous Sal Fasano (bunted into a DP in the 9th), Matt Murton, Juan Rincon (John Corner) and Franklin Morales.
Howie hit the ball hard three times to right. Ended up with two fly outs and a double. The Bees scored their only run on a suicide squeeze.
The wind was blowing in and aided a great pitcher’s duel. It was a fast game and fun to watch.

of the two hits Bell gave up
only Murton’s was a solid hit. The ninth-inning hit was an IF single by Colonel. Bell was fantastic.

Spring Mobile not a bandbox
At least not last night. Wind blowing in from center blew everything down. Actually the ballpark’s outfield is very spacious. There are a lot of extra-base hits with the spacious outfield. Here are the dimensions:
OUTFIELD DIMENSIONS:
Left Field Line 345’
Left Center 385’
Center Field 420’
Right Center 375’
20’ from Right Field Line 345’
Right Field Line 315’ (it curves in in the right field corner) true RF is probably closer to 345’
Really, calling it a ‘bandbox’ is a misnomer. Certainly the elevation (4,100’-ish) aides the hitters a bit, but it ain’t a bandbox like Philadelphia and Cincinnati.
