I'm looking for
a good, basic, (cheap) quality digital SLR for my birthday present. I want the best that I can get for around $500
I have a nikon d80
its fantastic.
You’re good with a nikon or a canon.
What do you need a fancy suit for, Charlie, you ain't got no job to wear it to.
by clover_black on Jun 16, 2009 9:14 PM PDT up reply actions
I have had a couple of Canon DSLRs
Agree with clover_black, nikon and canon both make great entry level (and up) cameras. Hard to go wrong with either. Between the two, it really boils down to who you talk to and which camp they belong to.
Personally, I am a Canon guy, I would go for Canon Rebel Xsi
Isn't YetiJuice a pro photographer?
Where did he go?
We don't have a Bullpen. We have a Cowpen. Before we get to call it a Bullpen these guys gotta grow a pair.
Who take the ST pics every year?
Forgive me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t he a very good beginner/intermediate?
Everybody is busy googling "camera 101" so that they can rescue ladybug.
We don't have a Bullpen. We have a Cowpen. Before we get to call it a Bullpen these guys gotta grow a pair.
what's your price range/
I assume that you wanna go digital? do you photoshop your pics?
We don't have a Bullpen. We have a Cowpen. Before we get to call it a Bullpen these guys gotta grow a pair.
I'll stay down it this thread now sorry.
SLR probably a Cannon all’s I hear is praise. I myself am looking for a point and shoot.
Try and figure what type of lenses you want and then price them out. See if the lenses are compatible with higher model body’s
The lens is the kicker.
I made it...
….barely

Good to see Bengie have a nice game.
Still remember that triple in the ALCS. :-)
~Till the Halo burns out...
Didn't Hunter run into the wall on that triple?

Dived for it and missed IIRC.
It rolled to the wall, and that’s how Bengie got to third.

unfinished thought
when called up to the bigs they are given their choice of available numbers, and they often opt for a lower number than was availed to them in the more crowded Spring locker room.
can you add Scot Spiezio??
