OCR's Saxon: O'Sullivan Down, Raf-Rod Up
The OCR's Mark Saxon reports that Sean O'Sullivan was sent down to AAA after his victory Tuesday night, but will be called up if Ervin Santana cannot pitch on June 23.
Reliever Rafael Rodriguez is up with the big club.
If Santana cannot pitch Tuesday, they will retro-DL him, replace him with Jack Black and then send Sean right back down and activate Kelvim Escobar.
That is the plan and it will probably change in ten minutes.

I don't mind this.
We need warm bodies in the pen, and we can still have O’Sullivan back for the next start. Seems to be a win-win situation (well, all the better if Voodoo is healed, but …)

Be patient
RafRod didn’t set the world on fire when he was brought up earlier, but he also has an ERA in SLC of 0.69, with one ER (a HR) in 13 IP. His WHIP is 0.923. Keep in mind, all of this happens in offense-favoring parks on the PCL.
There is something to mine here. Let’s give him a chance, and see if his earlier experience taught him a few things.

Got his start in High-Fidelity with John Cusack and The Cable Guy with Jim Carrey. Also known for his two-person band Tenacious D. His breakout role was probably School of Rock, a charming little film about never losing sight of one’s dreams.
