Six Games After Howie's Gone
I just noticed an odd fact about the Angels' 6-Game Winning Streak... it began with the demotion of Howie Kendrick. Does correlation equal causation?

I dont think its all Howie......
Vlad hasnt really been around much save for a few choice AB’s (especially in the Giants series)
Apparently with Vlad…….less is more……

In the minors
Howard probably isn’t bothered by clueless fans asking about television and appliances when he is trying to focus on the game and craft of hitting.
I hate those commercials and hope they stop airing them so Howie can just play the game.

We got plenty of "Mr. Anti-Clutches" in the lineup...
GMJ, Mathis, Morales when hes batting from the right-side, Vlad with RISP…Howie left when we happened to start a couple of series with some seriously shitty teams.
However, the fact that he was sent down might have sent a serious message through the clubhouse that unless your raking, you might soon find yourself occupying a residence close rather close to a large contingency of Mormon temples.

Howies fall from grace? (or expectations)
Well, at least we got rid of those god awful commercials.
Howie’s stocked dropped. Bring up the new Wood!

Nah
It’s the NL West. And we are hitting our stride. The team is hitting and our pitching has been solid.
Howie needed to go back down though. Get well soon.
Angel Pitching (Adenhart), Angel Defense - get past that.

I agree.
San Diego was awful. I can’t imagine Bud Black will last much longer. San Francisco wasn’t much better.
Beyond that Lincecum is a damn good pitcher. To score three 8th inning runs to beat him – especially with the yesterday’s line-up – is a sign we are hitting our stride.
There are still some challenges for this team. The list of question marks is much longer than previous years (Santana, Escobar, Vlad, Arredondo, the rest of the blowpen). Let’s see what happens when we get back to the AL.

Too bad if they fire Black
He’ll be a victim of John Moores’ divorce. With the circus of the sale going on in the middle of the offseason, the team had no hope of executing any plans to improve.
Witty .sig goes here.

Nope
Can’t pin the bullpen pitching better, Sean O’Sullivan pitching a gem, Torii’s mashing, or the AAAA opposition all on HK. The team wins together, or they lose together. I just think the Halos are finally playing more like a team than a collection of individuals. It will be telling on how the new “mojo” translates when they are not playing the “Sisters of Charity” in the NL West.

Howie's blunders were killing us
and it was infecting the whole team. Getting picked off, forgetting how many outs there were, joking around when we were getting killed in Tampa, fielding blunders… Plus he can’t hit anything that doesn’t come right down the middle of the plate, same old swing every time regardless of where the ball goes. Trade bait. If he has any value left.

Play Wood already. Willits sucks.

Agreed
Strength of opposition has a bunch to do with this, Lincecum notwithstanding.

Try the pads that have wings.
I love this team.

The better question might be:
Is it possible that Sosh and Reagins knowingly waited until the start of the games against the NL West before sending down HK, calculating that this was the best stretch of opponents possible to miss HK and/or break SRod into the lineup?
We don't have a Bullpen. We have a Cowpen. Before we get to call it a Bullpen these guys gotta grow a pair.

"break SRod into the lineup?"
he started one out of six games
break SRod onto the bench is more like it
Who goofed? I've got to know.
