Interview with Tori Hunter on "the Herd" ESPN Radio
"When he was in Minnesota, like a lot of great Twins players, you don't get the publicity. But now that he is in Los Angeles, which means he's on Sportscenter more." the Turd.
That is the line that made me laugh on the drive home from work today while listening to the radio. Came from an interview that Tori Hunter did for Colin Kowturd on his show "the Turd". How wrong can you be. Unless he counts more time in seconds.
Also one of the first questions he asked Tori was about some Skank Rookie, and his great glove. Then on about the Rod.

I can't stand Cowherd.
I have nothing important to say.

Some points I love about this interview.
1) when asked what goes through your mind " hope you dont break anything"
2) when asked how you get through a slump of 3 for 37 " i have never been 3 for 37, I would lay down a bunt"
3) when asked about interleague play “it’s for the fans and good for the fans to see guys they have never seen before”
4) when Colin said “I have never asked a man how much he pees before.” Torii said “it was weird for me to answer that one.”
Torii is not only a class act, he is good for the game. For those who hate ESPN I am not the biggest fan of theirs either. But Colin is a west coast guy, the problem is that most of his listeners are east coasters. Of course he will talk about the Spankies, they are the biggest draw in baseball. Have you ever heard him speak of basketball? Its all about the Lakers. So I got no beef with Colin. I have to be at work at 7:30 so I just listen to The Sports Lodge on AM 830.

Cowherd
makes other cynical people look like pikers. He freely admits it’s all about ratings, money, fame. He exemplifies a sort of one-dimensional “success launders everything” attitude that, given the climate in the world right now, seems tired and out of date. And just plain wrong. Plus he knows jack about baseball.
He’s funny, and entertaining in small doses, but to me, his act gets tired fast.

Did he ask Torii to comment about the Yankees sitting the 'exhausted' ARod?

I used to like Cowherd
but the more I listen to him, the more I am irritated by him. All he cares about is football. He doesn’t know jack shit about any other sport. He compares everything to some classic college football game that happened 7 years about the most people don’t care about. And he goes out of his way all the time to talk about his ex-wife. To me it sounds like subtle pleas for sympathy. It’s annoying as hell.
Hey Colin! I don’t give a damn about some random college football game or your ex-wife! Cry me a river!

He's let his show inflate his ego....
…. for some reason Cowherd convinced himself a wife would tie him down doing the national show, and he ditched her. He’s a raging asshole, through and through.
One time he ranted on and on about how the NBA was a third rate sport, and that he only pays attention during the playoffs. Next day, he’s telling his listeners how they can keep their opinions about the NBA to themselves, he doesn’t want to hear them. He knows the Lakers are a dynasty in the making. This was just before last year’s NBA finals with the Celtics. Did I mention he’s an asshole?
