Right-hander Shane Loux, coming off shoulder inflammation, made his first Minor League rehab appearance for high Class A Rancho Cucamonga on Friday, giving up a hit and two walks in one scoreless inning. Loux has been on the disabled list since May 17. … Angels starters have the second-best ERA in the AL at 4.10, trailing only the Mariners (3.89)
Guerrero has a season-best eight-game hitting streak. He has been going the other way more than usual, driving hits to right and right-center. …
Only Derek Jeter has a higher average than Rivera against lefties in the AL. Rivera is hitting .431 against southpaws compared to .453 by the Yankees shortstop. … Rare among power hitters, Rivera is the ninth hardest hitter in the AL to strike out, going down once every 12.2 at-bats. …
Hunter’s 13.8 home run ratio per at-bat is seventh best in the league. … Abreu has 19 RBIs in his past 19 games. He has been caught in his past two steal attempts after 15 straight successful thefts to open the season.
Howard Kendrick, looking to regain his stroke at Triple-A Salt Lake, hit a two-run homer on Friday night and is batting .286 with a .536 slugging percentage.
( I thnk they need to stop calling the guy Howard…it all went to shit when he started going by Howard! )
Miss you Nick...! RIP
