Grichuk starts in Center Field for the AZL Angels in his first pro game and goes 1-4 with 1 Run and a K as the Angels beat the Brewers 7-2!!!

Randal's first hit came on his 1st AB followed by a fly out to RF, then the Strike out, and in his final AB a pop out to 3rd.

They kept saying he could play centerfield

But I thought they’d put him in left right off the bat. I guess they’re seeing if he sticks. He’s a lot more valuable in center, obviously, but that may present a logjam if/when they sign Trout.

I read that he had no speed and no arm. How could he play CF?

We don't have a Bullpen. We have a Cowpen. Before we get to call it a Bullpen these guys gotta grow a pair.

I remember that

And liked what I heard. I’ve also read less than glowing reports on his arm, so we shall see.

How big is the jump from High School to AZL?

A rough estimate would do. I’m just curious.

The same as the difference

between making out in the car at your senior prom and moving in with some chick after your first semester together at college.
