Angels' Vladimir Guerrero returns to power in 11-3 win - Los Angeles Times
The Dodgers weren't the only Southland team with a superstar slugger who has been missing in action for much of the season. Vladimir Guerrero hardly resembled himself recently, even before he sheared his trademark dreadlocks.

something about the shooting incident doesn't seem right...

a guy w/his wife and kids attacked w/bottles and then choked. there are plenty of a-holes out there but there has to be more to the story. the victim/cop probably provoked the attackers by running his mouth at some tailgaters while trying to be tough guy/dad/husband of the year to some tailgaters. however, the story would be 100% plausible w/zero doubt in my mind if the attackers were wearing dodgers merch.

My read is

dad returns to car after game, finds two guys trying to break in
(something possibly happens here)
dad calls 911 (possibly within ear shot to warn bad guys)
911 operator then hears scuffle (attack occurs now?)
attack continues
dad gets free, still under attack, draws weapon, fires.

We don't have a Bullpen. We have a Cowpen. Before we get to call it a Bullpen these guys gotta grow a pair.
