Jered Weaver Cruises on 2nd Inning Cushion, Angels Crush D-Backs
Final Score in Arizona: Angels 12, Diamondbacks 3
Starting Pitcher Jered Weaver got out of a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the first inning and his Angels teammates rewarded him with 8 runs in the top of the 2nd inning. That was all he would need and the Halos cruised to a 12-3 victory over the D-Backs.
The big hits in the big inning were a 2-run double by Jeff Mathis and a 2-run tribple by Maicer Izturis. To complete the cycle in that inning, Torii Hunter hit a 2-Run Homerun for the 7th and 8th run of the inning to chase D-Back starter Billy Buckner.
The Angels have now beaten the National League West in interleague 12 times this season against only 4 losses. They remain a half-game behind another team for first place in the American League West.

I missed most of the game, so no vote from me...
..but glad the offense scored 12 runs. I believe that makes us 9-3 against the NL West this year.
Love bilingual interviews.
2 questions takes 5 minutes to trudge through.
Izzy gets panther. Howie is shedding a tear somewhere.
What do you need a fancy suit for, Charlie, you ain't got no job to wear it to.
Great game today
i wish we could play the NL west more often.
I hate Jose Guillen. R.I.P. Nick Adenhart, Marquis Cooper

Izzy needs the same break as Rivera...
…give him regular playing time and he will show he’s a solid, reliable player (if he doesn’t get injured).
Mathis was pantheresque today
Man, this game was totally bitchin’, totally cherry, and totally groovy. I really dug it.
Angel Pitching (Adenhart), Angel Defense - get past that.
