Why can't Figgins stay at 3rd base on bunts with runner at 2nd?
Have you noticed that when defending a sac bunt with a runner at 2nd base, Figgins gives up 3rd base and charges every bunt attempt. Don't the Angels have any bunt coverage on this play other than forfeiting the opportunity to force the lead runner as occured in Sunday's game in Phoenix when Mathis could have easily thrown out the lead runner but Figgins had immediately vacated 3rd.
This represents 7 consecutive times that he has done so. Maybe reading the bunt first would be a better option.
