SLC Bees

I made my annual trip to SLC to see the Bees last night. The Bees played Sacramento (A's). Neither team had any pitching and the Bees lost 19-10. There were 37 hits in the game. SRod unfortunately did not play and I even thought that it meant that he had been called up (apparently not). So I concentrated on Brandon Wood. Brandon was 3-4 with a monster two run home run to left and had 4 RBIs for the night. Most impressive was his first at-bat, when down 0-2 in the count, he took a pitch to right field for a single. Last year he would have struck out on the 0-2 pitch.  He made one bad throw at thirdbase for an error. I have seen him the last three years in SLC and he is an improved hitter. He is confident, patient, and ready for the show. Here are some Brandon photos that I took along with Reggie (who had two hits and two walks), and Terry Evans (who also hit a monster home run).

Cool, thanks for sharing

Oh man, I’m just so glad Wood is in SLC helping out those Bees. I mean, can you imagine what the Bees’ record would be without him? Thank god they have the immense power and run-producing ability of Brandon Wood. Yay Bees!!

S Rod

Is at home with his wife, they are expecting a baby. That is why he hasn’t been in the lineup.

Awesome photos...

I’ll never be in Salt Lake, but I’d watch those games if they were on TV.

For what it's worth, SRod is back in the lineup and playing CF against Fresno

not sure if that means anything, SLC has a young guy named Segura is who is hitting .455 in early at-bats and he is playing second-base.
