I made my annual trip to SLC to see the Bees last night. The Bees played Sacramento (A's). Neither team had any pitching and the Bees lost 19-10. There were 37 hits in the game. SRod unfortunately did not play and I even thought that it meant that he had been called up (apparently not). So I concentrated on Brandon Wood. Brandon was 3-4 with a monster two run home run to left and had 4 RBIs for the night. Most impressive was his first at-bat, when down 0-2 in the count, he took a pitch to right field for a single. Last year he would have struck out on the 0-2 pitch.  He made one bad throw at thirdbase for an error. I have seen him the last three years in SLC and he is an improved hitter.
