it was a high throw
they gave the error to Matthews not K-Mo, it’s kinda of both their fault, the throw should have been better but K-Mo still should have caught it

Which is to say
The expecation or probability that Bulger would give up a tater with the bases loaded is extremely much higher than that expectation would be for any other bullpen pitcher on this staff, regardless of how much they suck or how good Bulger’s been recently in other situations.

time to fix the bullpen, until that is done, this is a .500 team with a 115 million dollar payroll
and this is not whining it is a fact that the team needs to deal with sooner rather than later

He’s had success their before. Our bullpen sucks and if the Angels magically make the playoffs then it makes no sense to have 5 starters. The only reason our best pitcher this year even pitched in the playoffs last year was because a deciding game went into extra innings.
Also change some things up Soth. DFA Q and GMJ, bring up some young blood.

That throw home today that went wild and scored the fifth run for Detroit was NOT GMJ’s fault. It was Kendry’s. If Kendry hadn’t tried to cut it off, the ball would have continued on its path to Naps, who would have caught it, with no run scored. Instead, it ricocheted off Kendry’s glove and went wild, and the run scored. The error was rightly charged to Kendry.

These complaints are absurd
He went 1-2-3 in the 7th. Everyone complains if Soth takes guys out after innings like that. So he sticks with him and everyone complains. The reality is that when you have six bad or mediocre pitchers to choose from, then you have no good options.

Figgy in CF in 2006 was a bonafide fiasco. If the Halos had confidence in him at that position they would have replaced GMJ with Figgins in 2008, instead of signing Hunter…or wouldn’t have even signed GMJ in the first place.

$115 million buys us a .500 team?
Something is wrong here, and it starts with management not being able to make decisions to yank releivers who can’t throw strikes. Our bullpen is terrible, and we will continue to lose until we fix it.
