Figgy's a great guy.
From what I see and hear, he simply goes out and works his butt off game after game. Also, he has continued to improve defensively. He has made some outstanding plays the last 2 years.
My only “gripe” is that he doesn’t seem to work for a walk or bunt for hits as often as I’d like.
Regardless, he remains one of the better lead-off hitters in the game, and I don’t see anyone in our organization ready to replace him.
If he re-signs, I hope the Angels “market” him even more to the fans. He is not as naturally charismatic as Hunter, but he sure seems genuine, articulate, and likable.

He’s got an OBP of 0.392, and is 9th in the AL. What more do you want?
Angels fan since '67
Hmmmm...
How long of a list do you want???
OK…I may be a bit greedy. I just believe he could take better advantage of his speed by working more counts. But he hasn’t done it in 7 years, and I doubt he will start anytime soon.
As I also wrote above, he remains one of the better lead-off hitters, in the game. I hope he remains an Angel.
I hope we keep Figgy
He seems likable enough, and on the field he is defensively brilliant (most of the time) and he is a catalyst that really helps us win.
It would be hard for me to cope with Figgy leaving the Angels if he does.
