No, Steve Physioc is not being replaced. The Angels are going to produce segments with Batting Stance Guy. If you've never seen this dude, you're in for a treat.

Ha

I just sense the organization grasping at straws in light of the Nielsen ratings that were posted a while back.

Actually

It’s an agreement with Fox Sports. He’s doing segments with 11 or 12 other teams as well.

Oh

Well that’s good for him I guess.

That guy is good, and original.

I am happy to introduce All Star Third Baseman, Chone Figgins.

This guy

Is perfect for the Halos

by TheAntiSox on Jul 22, 2009 2:46 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

I think he's been making the rounds to all the teams

I know the Rangers have had him a bit. They’ve been in game promoting it like crazy.

So I don’t think he’ll be on Angels broadcasts for very long.

I wonder if he does pitching motions too?

I’d like to see his imitation of Langston, Abbott, Percival, and of course Ben Weber.

by MH252525 on Jul 22, 2009 2:51 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Since he's a childhood buddy of Speier...

…I’m sure he can do an killer imitation of a pitcher craning his neck around to watch the flight of another HR.

What do you need a fancy suit for, Charlie, you ain't got no job to wear it to.

Best Physioc quote
I think he was trying for something between a screwball and a change-up on that last pitch. That’s a screw-up.

God needed a starter. RIP #34

I tried to point out my avatar to you like a week ago!!

I don’t remember which thread it was, but I guess you didn’t see my comment :(

His name is Adam and he’s awesome! He’s IS cute and he’s a really good baby–hardly ever cries. He turns one month old this week.

Hasn’t told me who his favorite Angel is yet, but hopefully by the time he starts kindergarten he’ll get to see Brandon Wood play a full season.

He will be a liberal, I can see it in his eyes. :)

I am happy to introduce All Star Third Baseman, Chone Figgins.

by 44FAN on Jul 22, 2009 8:52 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Will be?

Well let’s see…
 - Doesn’t do much more than eat, sleep, poo, and pee.
 - Hasn’t worked a day in his life.
 - Totally dependent upon others for everything.
 - Cries until he gets what he wants.

Sounds like a liberal already!

Oh that screwball, always there with that timely corn ball joke for you.

Very well done, but the one I hear the most is, they always want a handout, or always have their hand out for something. No edit button what a shame.

Edit button?

I got a rec and a “very well done”. The “very well done” was from you. How can I possibly improve on that? Besides, I covered the “always have their hand out for something” under “totally dependent upon others for everything”. No edit button required.

Some day, maybe I’ll see you at a game and I’ll buy you your favorite alcohol-containing beverage! (I won’t consider it in as any form of a handout.) What an offer, huh?

Yours,

Screwball

Awesome

44FAN, how dare you sully the sanctity of that which is the newborn experience?

Now, let’s focus our energies on figuring out how to get my kid into acting … ;-)

Oh Higz, you're just a breeder bonehead. What is sanctimonious about that?

At least we agree that Batting Stance Guy is funny.

All joking aside...

..I agree with 44Fan.
There’s no experience even close to the challenge of parenthood. The highs much are higher, and the lows are much lower.
You get to another look at the world through their eyes.
My son recently turned 25. In ways, it seems like a blink in time. I still recall the entire trip to the hospital on the day he was born. Every red light. The look on my wif’e’s face (a mix of joy, pain, and how the hell did I get into this?). I’m sure you know what I’m talking about.
Enjoy the time as best you can. Before you know it, he will be 25 years old and off living his own life, and you’ll be back to trading insults with “liberals” over these internets.
Congratulations! Best of luck to you and mama Higz.

Awful decision

His impressions are not only bad, but they aren’t funny either. I’d rather see the Halos give Physioc another year rather than putting this guy on TV for 5 minutes.

Yer crazy

His Rod Carew alone is enough to give the guy his own show

His Troy Glaus is hilarious
