You were right. About everything.
All those long nights I would stay up and laugh at you for thinking Kendry was going to be a top-notch, awesome-sauce, who-cares-about-losing-Kotch player.
All those times I shook my head as you predicted a .300+ AVG, 30+ HR, 90+ RBI in his first year.
I must say.... You were right.
You were so right, in fact, that I now have as much man-love for K-Mo.
I will now enjoy my crow, and apologize for all the times I flamed you for having such a blog-boner for a player.
Because he deserves all those blog-boners.

What blows me away is that so many folks...
…had made their mind up about Morales after only 350 ABs. The guy was 25 and hadn’t yet had one season with 200 ABs.
Now, 691 ABs into his career, he’s putting up a stat line comparable to Teixeira, for 20M less per year.

I was ok on Morales but didn't have a boner
And was always HOPING Acuda was right. So far, so good.
So, Acuda, do we need to trade the farm for a starting pitcher or what?
Angel Pitching, Angel Defense - get past that.
Nope.......O'Sullivan is a Great #5 Starter!
We can do with Lackey, Weaver, Santana, Saunders, and Sullivan. Even Palmer gets it done with the Offense having his back and all. I do think we need to bring up Arredondo, and get another arm in the Pen, which should have been O’Day but the Angels didn’t jump on it when the Mets Released him and his 0.00 ERA.

…because I’ve been a little confused about his contract – probably because he arrived undrafted in slightly unconventional fashion and signed this wierd 6-year deal. If you’re telling me he’s locked until 2013, then that’s pretty sweet.

For any player to hit unrestricted free agency
they must have no less than six years to the day of major league service.
Once they hit sex years of MLB service they will then become a free agent, able to sign with anyone, at the end of that season.
Until six years, the player and team engage in a song and dance that is arbitration and the like. Basically some dude compares the production of the player with the salary asked for by the player and what the team wants to give him.
Blah blah blah…. six years.

i applaud phislamma for this post it takes...
a big man to admit when you’re wrong and i thought acuda was a little off as well at times w/ the kendry man crush. moving forward, i know acuda has a liking for srod but are there any other players you have your eye on or should i say what does your crystal ball tell you about the prospects in the organization. please acuda you’re my only hope… (in princess leia voice)
Im a huge Kowbell fan...BUT...
we’ll see if this year is a fluke when the rest of the league starts to realize he is a serious hitter and adjust their pitching accordingly.

That would have helped when me and CaseyKissOfDeath would get into it with the Morales VS Kotchman posts. Those were quite fun though I might add. #1 Kotch fan VS #1 Morales fan, It kind of sucked when they traded Kotch cuz he had grown on me too but I couldnt wait till Morales got his shot at everyday play, so it was bittersweet when the Krotch Rocket left.

I was only a non-believer because Acuda was so overly zealous in his Kendry love-fest. I know the Angels know what they are doing, so I had a glimmer of faith. The faith was shaken, though, when Acuda wouldn’t stop pumping up the Cuban Missle Crisis known as KMo.
I will know better next time, or I’ll take it “one prospect at a time.”
